Title of the Talk: Trustworthy AI Starts with Data – Building the foundation for autonomous intelligence

Abstract:
Trustworthy AI cannot be achieved through advanced models alone. In high-stakes domains such as healthcare, banking, public services, security, and smart communication systems, AI decisions are only as reliable as the data foundation beneath them. This keynote explores why data quality, security, lineage, explainability, and accountability are essential for responsible AI deployment. It highlights common failure modes in AI systems, the need to reduce unnecessary data movement, and the role of autonomous, secure, and auditable data platforms in building safer AI. The session also discusses how industry and academia can collaborate through benchmarks, sandboxes, human review, and standards to make trustworthy AI practical, measurable, and scalable.
